Oven Cleaning - The Complete Step by Step Process

Want to know the process Green Cleaning For You go through to thoroughly clean your oven? If so, the method is below:

Preparing the work place

- Safety check ensure that the oven is completely off
- Cover the floor with a special thick and waterproof mat to ensure nothing will splash on the floor. We use this as a work space to put on the parts of the oven, a bucket with the water, tool box etc.

* Nothing will be put on your floor or cooker top.

** We do not use your sink in the cleaning process. We just need access to water.

Preparing the oven for cleaning

We remove all doors and the door seal from the oven. We remove racks and trays from the oven. We remove the back panel and the fan. The light cover is removed and the bulb replaced on request.

The Cleaning Process

The oven door is removed and taken apart. We clean all parts with a special degreaser to ensure all the grease is removed. All parts are washed and polished to give the door a sparkling look.

Inside, the oven is scraped with a special scraper to remove carbon from the walls and floor special solution applied. After the cleaning product works, we clean and polish the inside surfaces.

Racks, trays, and the back panel are cleaned on our van, which is equipped with a special deep tank with boiling water to make sure that all the carbon and grease is totally removed.

Oven Reassembly

Your oven is then put back together and a safety check is carried out.

Carpet Cleaning Guide To Removing Paint Stains

One of the major enemies of carpet cleaning professionals is paint stain. Sometimes, no matter how careful you were when painting your walls or woodwork, a couple of drops still find their way onto your carpet. There are lots of reasons why paint can get on your carpet. Do not worry if you find paint stain on your carpet because there are things you can do to easily remove them. On the other hand, you should know that successfully removing paint stain on your carpet greatly depends on the cleaning process, the specific type of paint, and how long it has been sitting on your carpet. So if you are in any doubt, please give us a call. Some tips to consider: * As soon as you notice the stain, work on it quickly. Do not allow the paint to dry on your carpet because it will be difficult to remove it. * Use absorbent clothes such as paper towels to contain the spilled paint and prevent it from affecting a huge part of your carpet. * Do not rub the paint further into the fibres of your carpet when blotting to remove the stain. * Test any chemicals that you are planning to use to remove the stain on a small area of your carpet that are not easily seen. This will ensure that you will not further damage your carpet, especially if the chemicals or cleaning solutions have negative effect on your carpet.

To help you remove the paint stain in your carpet, you can try the following carpet cleaning techniques: • Acrylic paint – If you suddenly spilled acrylic paint on your carpet, blot the stain with glycerin. Glycerin will work effectively to remove the paint on your carpet. If there is residue left, you can use rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. You can also use a combination of mild detergent and water to further clean the stained area. Use a sponge so you will not damage your carpet. • Oil-based paint – The first thing you need to keep in mind when treating oil-based paint stain on your carpet is to act quickly because oil-based paint can easily leave a permanent stain on your carpet. To remove the paint, you will need to use turpentine or mineral spirits. Turpentine works better for oil-based paints that have been on your carpet longer. Use paper towels to blot the stained area with turpentine or mineral spirits. To remove the residue left from the chemicals that you used, apply rubbing alcohol in the area the same way you would when removing acrylic paint. Clean the stained area with mild detergent and water. Remember to use a sponge in your carpet cleaning so as not to damage your carpet.

Latex paint – Carpet Cleaning professionals recommends mixing one teaspoon of neutral detergent and one cup of warm water to use as your cleaning solution for latex paint stains on your carpet. The detergent that you will use should not have alkalies or bleaches as these can damage your carpet. This solution will effectively extract the paint stain on your carpet when applied on the stained area. Continue applying the solution until all the latex paint has been removed from your carpet.
Water-based paint – For water-based paint, all you need to do is blot the stained area with water or vinegar. You can also use mild detergent or dish soap to remove the water-based paint on your carpet. Rinse with water to remove the detergent or soap left on your carpet. On the other hand, be careful not to use too much water because it can cause the stain to spread. Remember, it is important to clean the stain as soon as possible, preferably before it dries. If you live in the Dublin area and require professional help, or would prefer the paint cleaned off the carpet with eco-friendly products, please give Green Cleaning For You a call on (01) 839 7730.
